School Uniform

Order School Uniforms

Our Lady of the Snows strives to create an environment that is conducive to learning and reflective of our core Christian values. The uniform policy is intended to reflect a positive image of students and our school, and:

  • instill a sense of belonging, visually reflecting our belief that all children are treated with equal respect.

  • provide an orderly environment that focuses attention on academics rather than fashion.

  • simplify the lives of our children and their families in a cost effective manner.

Uniforms may be ordered from School Belles .  Use the Code S0459 for online shopping. Gently used uniforms are also available from our uniform exchange.

Our Lady of the Snows School Uniform Policy includes:

Tax Credit Scholarship Donation Information

Adopt a student!

In August the Illinois legislature passed the new Illinois Tax Credit Scholarship Program bill, Invest in Kids, which allows for a 75% income tax credit for individuals and corporations who make authorized contributions to a non-profit Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO). SGOs such as Empower Illinois will award scholarships to qualifying students based on family income.
We encourage you to consult with your personal tax professional to determine if donating to Empower Illinois is the best way for you to support Our Lady of the Snows students.
Donor will receive a 75% Illinois state tax credit on their donation under this program.
For example: If a donor gives $1,000, then they will receive a state tax credit of $750 for 2018.
A donation under this program is much more beneficial than a typical charitable contribution, because you get a tax reduction of 75% of your donation, but a typical charitable contribution would only give you a tax reduction of 0% to 37% (2018 individual tax rate ranges).  This is because you get a tax credit under this program and not a less beneficial tax deduction.
Step 1: Request Letter ID and Activate MyTaxIllinois Account
A taxpayer must have a “MyTax Illinois” account to apply for the credit. If you do not currently have an account, we encourage you to do that as soon as possible, at Follow prompts to activate your MyTax Illinois account. This process can take up to ten days and involves a mailed Letter ID.

Step 2: Reserve Your Tax Credit
Beginning January 2, 2018, donors can indicate the amount they wish to donate and reserve the corresponding tax credit. The Illinois Department of Revenue will grant tax credits on a first-come, first-served basis. Based on the experience of similar programs in other states, tax credits are claimed very quickly. We suggest you plan on making your tax credit reservation as early as possible.

Step 3: Make Your Donation
Donors have 60 days from the date they receive their credit authorization certificate to donate that indicated amount to the SGO of their choice.

Thank you for your support of Our Lady of the Snows students!
